Manager, Prog/Project
ASRC Agile Decision Sciences (ADS), a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, has a great opportunity for an Project Manager with experience managing teams for NASA. This will be a dual role - managing and supporting staff in support of the Explorations Systems Development Mission Directorate, comprised of administrative and program planning and control staff in support of the mission directorate, and providing strategic communications support to NASA HQ customers, to include graphic representations, support with visualizations and messaging, tailoring products for specific audiences, and developing the overall visual representation of various products and data sets for a high level office within NASA HQ.
This role will also provide management and guidance to a number of contract staff, typically in the administrative and program planning roles. Management duties will include regular statusing with staff and primary contract stakeholders, and support of staff in fulfilling their duties successfully.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders at NASA headquarters in Washington, DC to gather requirements,produce deliverables.
- Lead and support contract staff to ensure fulfillment of tasks and continued optimization of work, processes, and increased understanding of duties assigned.
- Ensure effective communication and training for all stakeholders.
- Ensure that all project deliverables meet high-quality standards. Ensure regularly conducted data reviews and the integrity of the data is maintained.
- Provide regular updates to leadership, including status reports, reviewing metrics of staff activities, and performance evaluations.
Please note: The candidate selected will may be remote with prior NASA experience, but some occasional travel to NASA centers to meet with staff or customers may be requested.
Desired Skills
- Experience with the NASA, particularly with NASA communication guidelines and products.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Education
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience.
- Bachelor's degree in communication related field.
- Four (4) years of management experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
- Experience in software engineering field is required. Majority of projects will involve programming using a variety of technologies and all aspects of software development, including creating code, querying database tables, user interface design, testing,
