ASRC Federal Data Solutions, a subsidiary of ASRC Federal, is seeking a Test Engineer to support our NOAA contract. This is a remote opportunity and can be based anywhere within the continental United States.
Role Overview: As a Test Engineer, you will collaborate with a dynamic team that is building software that will contributes to meaningful change. Your skills will play a crucial role in driving our project forward.
Responsibilities:
Work as part of an Integration and Test Team in an Agile, DevSecOps environment to support the overall test strategy for the program. The test engineer will work with the development teams to ensure developed software capabilities function properly and meet the end user acceptance criteria. In this role, the test engineer will:
- Review and analyze systems requirements and requirements acceptance criteria to develop test cases
- Design and develop manual test procedures and automated test scrips to verify system requirements
- Develop test plans and test procedures documentation
- Implements CI/CD for test automation
- Conduct software testing on cloud and high performance computing platforms
- Develop and execute functional, smoke, regression, 508 compliance, stress, and user acceptance tests.
- Demonstrate software functionality to internal and external customers
- Perform within an Agile environment and communicate status to leads
Requirements:
Must-have:
- Test plans and test procedure development experience.
- Automated testing experience utilizing Zephyr, Selenium, Python, or other automated testing frameworks.
- Test scripting and programming language experience (Java or Python preferred) in a cloud environment.
- Experience engaging with and presenting to technical and program leadership.
- Requires a Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years of experience or equivalent.
- Must be a US Citizen or permanent resident with ability to pass a Government background investigation.
Strongly desired:
- Requirements analysis and breakdown.
- Requirements acceptance criteria development.
- Previous experience working a program from the ground-up.
- Previous experience working in an Agile development environment with tools such as the Atlassian suite, including Jira and Confluence.
- Hydrology or spatial data domain knowledge.
