Information Technology Intern
ASRC Federal’s Summer Technology Readiness Intern Development Experience (STRIDE) offers undergraduate college students the chance to apply their technological interests and knowledge to exciting real-world missions.
We are seeking interns who are currently enrolled in programs focused on IT disciplines such as cloud configuration, zero trust architecture, and networking. Work is performed in a collaborative environment in a remote setting. Interns will gain hands-on experience using a variety of technologies in support of our government customers’ missions. This role is a temporary, remote opportunity.
Work location: Remote (must have lived continuously in the continental United States for the past three years).
Background investigation: Must be a US Citizen with ability to successfully complete a government issued background check.
Program dates: 10-week summer internship, June 2 – August 8, 2025
Hours: 32 hours per week
Education:
- Currently enrolled and pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Cyber Security, or other relevant studies
- Must be a junior or senior in college at the time of application submittal.
Summary:
Work closely with our IT and software teams on a variety of potential assignments, including, but not limited to, cloud configuration and architecture, help desk trouble shooting, cyber security, zero trust architecture, and software infrastructure configuration.
Basic Qualifications:
- Knowledge of cloud capabilities with providers like Azure, AWS, or Google
- General cyber security and zero trust architecture knowledge
- Ability to build test completed tasking and demonstrate results
- Ability to document work and present tasking, findings, etc.
- Ability to perform research and analyze data.
- Ability to work independently but also in various collaborative team environments.
- Proficient in Microsoft office tools such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- “Can do” positive attitude.
- Must be a US Citizen with ability to pass a government background investigation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with software installation and configuration.
- Familiarity with Linux.
- Experience with building software infrastructure with tools like Kubernetes, Ansible, Jenkins, etc.
- Technical Writing.
Interns will work closely with dedicated mentors and managers, fostering meaningful connections within our company while exploring a range of technology disciplines. Additionally, interns will have the opportunity to contribute to research projects developed by our tech experts. While extensive work experience is not required, a commitment to learning and a genuine passion for emerging technological advancements are essential.
