Engineering Intern - onsite Enid, OK
ASRC Federal’s Summer Technology Readiness Intern Development Experience (STRIDE) offers undergraduate college students the chance to apply their technological interests and knowledge to exciting real-world missions.
We are seeking a full time Engineering Intern to support our government customer program located at Vance Air Force Base in Enid, Oklahoma. This role is a temporary, on-site position.
Work location: Onsite in office environment at Vance Air Force Base. Local candidates preferred. Relocation assistance, housing, or stipends are not provided.
Security: Must be a US Citizen and successfully complete a government issued background investigation. (must have lived continuously in the continental United States for the past three years)
Program dates: 10-week summer internship, June 2 – August 8, 2025
Hours: 32 hours per week
Summary: Interns will gain hands-on experience with digital tools such SolidWorks and Auto CAD, while following compliance and quality standards. Tasks will also include an ability to document and present on completed work.
Education:
- Currently enrolled and pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering major.
- Must be a current junior or senior in college at the time of application.
Key role:
- Provide engineering support to various projects.
- Duties will include, but not be limited to, supporting the estimating team regarding bid process by conducting research, gathering data, running reports and formatting to analyze data, assist in facility assessments, Auto CAD support, miscellaneous admin tasks.
- Perform miscellaneous administrative and routine office tasks such as photocopying and filing, as needed.
Basic Qualifications:
- Must be able to work independently on assignments, also be able to work in a team environment.
- Proficiency with MS Office including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- “Can do” positive attitude.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in working in group projects in academia or industry is highly desired.
- Knowledge of Auto CAD and Solid Works a plus.
- Ability to compile technical reports, procedures and project documentation as required.
Interns will work closely with dedicated mentors and managers, fostering meaningful connections within our company while exploring a range of technology disciplines. Additionally, interns will have the opportunity to contribute to research projects developed by our tech experts. While extensive work experience is not required, a commitment to learning and a genuine passion for emerging technological advancements are essential.
