Customer Service Representative I
Student Government’s purpose is to lead the Sacramento State community in serving the diverse needs of Sacramento State students by promoting leadership development, shared governance, relationship building, community betterment, and lifelong personal and professional growth.
SUMMARY:
The Customer Services Representative I will provide customer service at the ASI front office located in the ASI Government Office. Incumbents in this position are the front office contact for providing services to Sac State Students, ASI Board of Directors and Staff. Primary duties consist of implementation of the Dollars for Organizations & Clubs (DOC) grant process, reply to requested information from students; provide support to ASI Board, Staff, Departments and Programs. This is an entry-level position, open during the academic year.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Adhere to and exemplify the ASI Mission, Vision and Values.
- Put students first when prioritizing work.
- Respond courteously and accurately to requests for information.
- Understand and implement the DOC grant process.
- Understand and implement the ASI National Travel Fund awards.
- Learn names, faces, and functions of ASI Board Members and ASI departments.
- Learn and know what the programs are and who the appropriate contact individuals are.
- Assist in the recruitment, placement, tracking and reporting of committee members for internal (ASI) and University committees.
- ASI website updates as requested
- Continue to learn as much as possible about Sac State contacts, functions, and processes.
- Other duties as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Enrolled in a minimum of 6 units at Sacramento State; maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA overall (for Student Assistant incumbents)
- Student friendly attitude, adaptability and capacity to learn
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy is required
- Experience in the operation of a fax machine and copier is helpful
- Excellent customer service skills, the ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
- Basic experience with Microsoft word, excel, outlook
