Job Summary:

The Director, HR Operations will have broad responsibility for leading daily activities and programs that directly impact ArchWell Health’s success by supporting its values and strategy through HR technology, compensation & benefits programs, and shared services support.  Aligning our people strategy with our business strategy, you’ll design, implement, and lead the structure, platforms, and operational strategies for both existing and new HR programs.

To be successful in this role, you will help leaders look around corners with data-driven recommendations for innovative programs as well as iterate on current programs to improve performance, retention, and the colleague experience. You must have the ability to see patterns, diagnose issues, and recommend and develop both immediate and long-term solutions and mechanisms. High business acumen, proven leadership skill, and excellent written and verbal communication are essential.  You must be comfortable working in a purpose-driven, collaborative culture at both the strategic and tactical levels, thinking longer-term while rolling up your sleeves to execute the details.

As the Director, HR Operations, you will partner with leaders across the business and in HR in a highly visible and impactful role with the ability to grow your career.  You will ensure that compensation, benefits, and other rewards programs are forward-thinking and competitive, support the delivery of our desired colleague experience, and align with ArchWell Health’s culture, values, and business strategy.

  • Own and manage our core HRIS system, Ceridian, ensuring data quality and compliance as well as building processes, procedures, and reporting
  • Oversee day-to-day payroll operations in partnership with our managed payroll vendor, Ceridian, ensuring accurate and efficient delivery bi-weekly
  • Development, implementation, and administration of a competitive benefit program that supports the organization’s ability to attract and retain top talent.    
  • Management and administration of the 401k plan, including all compliance and fiduciary activities.
  • Develop and maintain compensation structures including creation of a salary grading system that leverages career framework principles and aligns to our culture and values. Conduct market pay assessments using available competitive market data resources, internal equity comparisons and professional knowledge/experience.
  • Develop communications that help our colleagues appreciate and value their total compensation package benefits, base, bonus, equity, time off, etc.); create total rewards statements and materials.
  • Identify and propose modifications and enhancements to our total reward programs to address colleagues' needs and the competitive environment for talent in our industry.
  • Partner with internal HR team members and business leaders to build meaningful insights into our people data through reports on key metrics / analytics
  • Oversees compliance with statutory reporting and filings (payroll taxes, unemployment compensation, state, and local taxes).
  • Involved in developing and executing company policies that affect operations, colleague engagement and have company-wide effect.

Requirements:

  • BA/BS Degree in Human Resources, Business, or other relevant area is required
  • A minimum of 10 years of diverse experience and progressive responsibility in compensation, benefits, and HR systems and applications, with at least five years in a management role
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully execute in a high growth environment with limited infrastructure.
  • Possess strategic capabilities with a “roll up your sleeves approach.” This is a leadership position in high growth company requiring hands-on execution.
  • Strong project management and prioritization skills to effectively manage and drive multiple projects and initiatives in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong technical proficiency with HR systems and MS Office tools, including advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills required.
  • Direct experience with the design, implementation and administration of compensation programs and structure
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to interpret and translate data into actionable insight and influence decisions
  • Passion for the challenge of delivering quick value while laying the groundwork for long-term solutions at scale; ability to identify areas of improvement and drive change
