Location: Fargo, ND
Shift: Monday – Friday: 8:30am-5:30pm (Varying hours)
Job Schedule: Full or Part Time
Weekly Hours: 20-40
JOB SUMMARY
The Physical Therapist assesses, plans, organizes, develops, and implements pediatric physical therapy for individual clients and outside contract services in accordance with current applicable federal, state and facility standards, guidelines, and regulations.
QUALIFICATIONS (minimum requirements)
Education and/or years’ experience required:
- Masters or Doctorate from an accredited school of Physical Therapy is required.
- Current licensure as an Physical Therapist or eligibility and evidence for license application.
Preferred/Required Skills and Abilities:
- 3 years experience in pediatric Physical therapy or work with the intellectually/developmentally disabled population, preferred.
- Ability to demonstrate effective interpersonal skills with both internal and external contacts.
Supervision of others/decision making aptitude (if applicable): This position may have supervisory responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND ACCOUNTABILITES
- Assumes the authority, responsibility and accountability for assessing, developing, and implementing therapy programs for pediatric clients.
- Responsible for training other staff, caregivers, and family on the client’s unique therapy needs.
- Demonstrates ability to evaluate and treat the client based on acquired experience and expertise adhering to the guidelines of the Physical Therapy professional standards of practice.
- Demonstrates ability to develop ongoing assessment of the client needs to determine appropriate programing.
- Demonstrates ability to assess effectiveness of physical therapy plan to meet the expected outcomes and/or adapts accordingly based on progress.
- Demonstrates the ability to determine when the client meets the expected outcomes as determined by the physical therapy treatment plan and goals.
