Summary
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Engineering Intern to join our team, focusing on a pivotal project to enhance production efficiency. In this role, you will be involved in designing, fabricating, and qualifying universal kitting equipment aimed at increasing both production throughput and accuracy. You will use SolidWorks to develop escapement concepts compatible with existing vibratory feeders and work closely with internal fabrication teams to bring these designs to life.
Key Projects
Utilizing Vibratory Feeders:
- Develop and model escapement concepts using SolidWorks, ensuring compatibility with existing vibratory feeders.
- Design systems to handle specific quantities of various components efficiently.
- Engage in design peer reviews, integrating feedback to optimize performance and functionality.
Fabrication and Implementation:
- Work closely with internal fabrication teams to translate designs into practical kitting equipment.
- Ensure that the design specifications are met during the fabrication process.
- Train operators on the new equipment, providing guidance and support to facilitate smooth operation.
- Oversee the performance qualification process to validate that the equipment meets production standards and enhances throughput and accuracy.
Requirements
Education:
- Must be pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related Engineering disciplines.
Physical:
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, reach, and reach overhead.
- Must be able to lift to 25lbs occasionally.
