Quality Engineer
Summary:
Under general supervision, the Quality Engineer is responsible for supporting various quality control programs designed to ensure continuous production of products consistent with established standards. Supports all departments including Materials, Engineering, New Product Design, Sales, Estimating and Quoting. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, high technology, manufacturing environment and works well in a matrix structure across all levels of the organization.

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintain quality records on internal results, internal corrective action process, MRB activity, RMA process and publishing reports to ADC Management for resolution.
- Work with manufacturing/quality staff to resolve or eliminate any quality issues disclosed by quality control process.
- Prepare required quality reports and follow up on any and all failure analysis/corrective action needed.
- Interface with customers to resolve quality issues. Investigate customer’s concerns regarding quality. Participate in various audits.
- Responsible for supporting the ISO Quality System.
- Participate in NPI meetings and collaborate with other departments as necessary on testing parameters relating to customer projects and programs.
- Provide ongoing manufacturing and quality engineering support to improve productivity and resolve issues.
- Oversee process development and control, designed to improve productivity and profitability while maintaining high outgoing quality.
- Review and analyze test equipment performance data
- Communicate with customers in a timely manner.
- Monitor, Communicate & Improve both Customer and Internal KPI’s.
- Serve as key point of contact for Customer complaints directed from Customer Service or the Customer directly for Root Cause Analysis as well as Corrective & Preventive Action and verification.
- To perform inspection duties for incoming & outgoing materials as required.
- Promote and Drive “Zero Defect” mentality within the quality Organization for proactive tools such as lean, Six-Sigma, Poka-Yoke (Error Proofing, Measurement System Analysis, Advance System Analysis, Advance Product and Quality Planning (APQP) Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA).
- Participate in joint evaluations and investigations with engineering to assess product anomalies and provide root cause corrective action plans
Qualifications – Education/Experience:
- B.S. in Electrical, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering. ISO training preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of Quality Assurance experience. Working in new product development is a plus.
- Experience in cabling, module and sub-assembly testing, and inspection
- Excellent communication skills required, including being able to work with staff in China and Mexico that have English as a second language.
- Must have computer proficiency and knowledge of MS Word.
- Experience in maintaining a QMS that complies with ISO certification
