SUMMARY
Acts as an agent of broker assigned accounts, including servicing and/or solicitation activities. Manages book of business.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible for renewal business and soliciting additional lines of coverage;
• Service accounts and provides claims assistance as needed;
• Complete applications, obtains quotes, negotiates premiums and commissions, prepares proposals and presentations;
• Assist in Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) insurance due diligence activities for existing clients, including collection of insurance information, summary of data and review of contractual documents as it relates to insurance;
• Bind coverage, prepares binders and delegates certificates;
• Review coverage, identifies deficiencies and determines appropriate level of coverage;
• Meet with clients as needed or directed by producer;
• Participate in the claims process as directed by management, including claim submission, follow-up and overall communication;
• Review accounting history, responds to accounting inquiries, corrects discrepancies and contacts client on receivable collections;
• Serve as technical expert, assisting department members to resolve complex issues;
• Responsible for the collection of fees, reconciliation and resolution of any outstanding balances within 90 days of invoicing date;
• Comply with agency management system data standards and data integrity (enters and maintains complete and accurate information);
• Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree equivalent combination of education and experience
Four (4) or more years work experience with mergers and acquisitions
Must continue to meet Continuing Education requirements for license renewal
Valid Insurance License
SKILLS
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Good problem solving and time management skills
Good planning, organizational and prioritization skills
Ability to work within a team and to foster teamwork
