Purpose

 

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer to produce scalable software solutions. As a Software Engineer, you should be comfortable around both front-end and back-end coding languages, development frameworks, and third-party libraries.

 

Specific Duties, Activities and Responsibilities

 

  • Design, develop, and implement applications to support business requirements.
  • Follow approved lifecycle methodologies, create design documents, and perform program coding and testing.
  • Manage the complete software development process from conception to deployment.
  • Maintain and upgrade the software following deployment.
  • Manage the end-to-end life cycle for the production of software and applications.
  • Demonstrate a high-degree of creativity, finding solutions where others may see roadblocks.
  • Modify and test changes to previously developed programs.
  • Work with other team members.
  • Design and implement both front-end and back-end applications to a high standard.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to ensure software designs meet all their requirements.
  • Write documentation for software you have developed.
  • Ensure you have written adequate test cases to verify design requirements are being met.
  • Identify and fix bugs that are found within code. Create and maintain databases.

 

Job Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering preferred
  • Technical certifications preferred.
  • 5 or more years of experience as a Software Engineer or similar role.
  • Track record of building scalable enterprise solutions.
  • Experience with the following Windows/Web languages and technologies is required: C#, WPF, ADO.NET, Entity Framework, ASP.NET, MVC, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML, JSON, SOAP, REST.
  • Experience with SQL Server is required – table design, stored procedures, functions.
  • Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio and source control (e.g. Team Foundation/Git)
  • Experience in interface development with integration/interface engines.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Organization skills.
