Position Summary:
We are looking for Costume Design Majors to work in the costume shop as Costume Technicians. This position involves patternmaking, draping and sewing costumes with special skills in corsetry and tailoring.
Essential Job Functions:
- Organizing the costume storage and shop.
- There are times student workers will be asked to work backstage as wardrobe crew during shows and to assist with wardrobe duties which include repairs and laundry.
- Maintenance of the Costume Shop sewing supplies and sewing machines is included in the daily responsibilities of the worker.

The individual is routinely exposed to indoor conditions, minimum outdoor weather and temperature extremes, and moderate noise level.
Qualifications/Prerequisites:
- SKILLS
- Ability to do basic sewing
- Experience in patternmaking, draping and skills in corsetry is not necessary, but will be learned on the job.
