Position Summary:
- The Finance Manager is responsible for providing financial analysis for Strategic Investments at the Hopewell Site. In addition, this position supports the SIOP (Sales, Inventory, Operations Planning) process by developing financial models to support short term and intermediate decision making and scenario planning. The Finance Manager acts as the Site’s Strategic financial partner with AdvanSix Business Leadership, providing analysis and guiding the decision-making process. The role requires a strong partnership with the Plant Manager, FP&A Leader, and GMs for each AdvanSix Product line. It is a high visibility role that involves presentations and recommendations to the highest level of AdvanSix management.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide financial evaluation and recommendations for Hopewell Growth investments and Strategic HSE initiatives
- Develop sustainable financial models to support short and intermediate term decisions and scenario planning
- Partner with Senior Analysts to develop and drive productivity strategies for Maintenance and Utilities spend
- Assist Controller in development of AOP and Plan of Record, linking annual and longer-term budget process to strategic initiatives
- Assist Controller in understanding monthly variance analysis to Plan and Forecast with specific focus on longer term trends that impact profitability
- Assist in coordination of annual physical inventory and cycle count audits.
- Assist in coordination of annual fixed asset inventory audit.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
- 7+ years of progressive Finance experience
- Experience in a leadership role within a public company
- Experience in a similar industry preferred
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience within a public company
- CPA or CFA preferred
- Direct experience in refining or chemical operations preferred
- Ability to influence, coach, and educate at senior and lower levels in the organization
- Successful track record in developing and implementing financial processes and strategies
- Strong Excel skills required
- Comfortable working within tight deadlines, paying attention to details and accuracy of reported results
- GAAP reporting experience as it relates to Plant Accounting processes
- Must have ability to quickly build relationships effectively with internal/external partners
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret a strategic vision into an operational model
- Ability to manage highly confidential information and strong sense of attention to detail
- Some travel is required
