Sr. Financial Analyst
Position Summary: The Sr. Financial Analyst role offers a unique opportunity to be a key member of Finance and Business teams with financial responsibility for the Caprolactam and Resin businesses within our Nylon Commercial Segment. This includes the development of short-, medium-, and long-term forecasts; analysis of business results; and direct involvement in most critical tactical and strategic business decisions. The individual will need to work cross-functionally with Business leadership, sales, product management, and integrated supply chain to influence decisions to maximize the financial returns to the business while ensuring ideas are being challenged and strong financial controls are enforced.
Duties and Responsibilities:
•Lead Forecasting, Annual Operating Plan and Strategic Plan processes working closely with the Nylon Solutions team and FP&A team.
•Maintain accurate reconciliation process and perform quarterly true ups for profit sharing.
•Provide monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting including analysis of revenue/margin at the total business and customer levels. This will include standard weekly, monthly reports and analysis as well as continued updates in forecasted performance.
•Perform all activities related to major customer Formula Pricing process including monthly invoicing and quarterly true up.
•Coordinate and lead functional cost reviews and analysis on monthly basis assisting functional leaders in meeting spend targets and identify productivity opportunities
•Support corporate FP&A activities related to Earnings Releases, Board of Director presentations and highlights letter preparations
•Perform ad-hoc analysis based upon changing business needs
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business-related discipline
- 5+ years of experience in FP&A, Commercial Finance and / or Accounting
- CMA, CPA, and/or MBA a plus
- Experience in chemical industry a plus
