Who we are looking for:

The Facilities Manager is responsible for maintaining ACV offices and reconditioning centers in optimal working condition and supporting evolving business needs through management small to moderate remodel projects. This manager will establish standards of care for sustaining our sites over the lease terms, schedule and direct all maintenance work, develop a network of vendors to manage costs, and guide the successful completion of projects. Additionally, this leader is the primary point of contact for daily facility needs and owns the work order process to collect, address, and close out approved repairs and improvements. The Facilities Manager is the liaison to key team members during planning, coordination, and execution of projects ensuring clear expectations are established and the work is completed on schedule and within budget.

 

What you will do:

  • Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
  • Daily management of sites/facilities to provide an optimal environment supporting operations, employees, and customer experiences through partnership with location managers (supplies, repairs, & projects).
  • Analyze requests, navigate the approval process, and properly manage spend for work required.
  • Develop a lifecycle plan for sites/facilities and sustain locations in accordance with evolving standards.
  • Establish a network of vendors and management process to ensure we have the best consultants to support maintenance, repair, and renovations across all locations while managing cost.
  • Accountable for managing facility related supplies across the portfolio of locations.
  • Evolve the process to create annual operational and capital budgets. Manage and track monthly spend successfully and establish a cadence of review for awareness and course correction.
  • Build, rollout, manage, and sustain work tracking system for accuracy, accountability, visibility, and budgeting.
  • Manage projects within budget and schedule for existing and future locations with exceptional communication through all phases to Manager and key business partners.
  • Conduct site visits of offices and Reconditioning Centers to identify site/facility improvements required to sustain locations, establish project scope, and monitor project progress.
  • Facilitate stakeholder meetings to establish and communicate timelines, set clear expectations, and resolve open issues.
  • Participate in regularly scheduled status meetings to communicate project updates including overall status, schedule, potential obstacles, and design/new requirement reviews.
  • Manage direct report overseeing facility needs at the corporate office.
  • Indirectly manage Reconditioning Center facility representatives to complete necessary project work/ tasks.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

What you will need:

  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Bachelor’s degree in project management/ construction/ engineering/ architecture degree preferred
  • 5+ years’ Project Management (Automotive, Rental, or Big Box Retail preferred)
  • 5+ years’ Project management experience while maintaining daily business operations
  • 5+ years’ Experience managing a facility program with multiple locations spanning across multiple regions.
  • 5+ years’ Experience negotiating contracts and managing vendors
  • Acute knowledge of building codes and construction means and methods
  • Read and interpret drawings and Construction Documents
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills to build relationships and deliver optimal solutions
  • Highly organized, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple tasks on time sensitive schedules
  • Agility and flexibility to respond quickly to change in business needs
  • Must be proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, MS Project
  • Database and spreadsheet experience required
  • 20-40% travel is required
  • Physically able to visit all areas of location premises, including roofs
  • Physically able to frequently bend, stoop, and stand
  • Able to work outside with various temperatures and inclement weather

 

Compensation: $96,000.00 - $113,000.00 annually. Please note that final compensation will be determined based upon the applicant's relevant experience, skillset, location, business needs, market demands, and other factors as permitted by law.
