Who we are looking for:

The Sr. Account Manager, Transportation has a high level understanding of ACV customers to deliver value added Transportation services based on their needs and expectations. This role will collaborate and partner with all ACV Sales Teams as well as Transport Operations and Business Operations. The Sr. Account Manager, Transportation's primary responsibility will be to retain and win new transport orders from existing ACV customers and external customers. The role will be responsible for coordinating with the existing account coverage in order to build relationships, pitch transport, and close deals.

 

Remote / Travel

This role is remote but candidates that can be in the Buffalo, NY office at least 2 days a week are preferred.

Occasional corporate travel to customers may be required up to 20%. For candidates not in Buffalo, additional travel will be required to the Buffalo, NY office.

 

What you will do:

  • Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
  • Develop strategies to retain and grow the client base for ACV Transportation including winning back customers and adding new customers that never use ACV Transport
  • Demonstrate innovative thinking and thought leadership by developing strategies to increase customer volume to ACV Transport services outside of ACV Auctions
  • Proactively identify client needs, goals and objectives and partner ACV stakeholders to deliver results that exceed the client(s) expectations
  • Subject Matter Expert in those instances that we roll out a program with a major dealer group
  • Establish inter-departmental relationships with ACV Inside, Outside, and Major Account sales teams to navigate customers and relationships
  • Use marketing tools and data reports to provide information, identify and track success for target customers
  • Act as the main point of contact for key clients, to drive deal enablement and ensure service satisfaction during the hand off to Transport operations
  • Create and maintain relationships with key customers, stakeholders, and shippers and communicate with them via email, text, video and face-to-face
  • Execute on sales campaigns and initiatives
  • Coordinate internally to get in front of customers, craft custom pitches, and win transport orders
  • Leverage follow-ups, check-ins and cross functional resources to drive customer wins
  • Meet or exceed all sales goals and KPI’s
  • Document activities, strategies and efforts
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
 

 

What you will need:

  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • High School Diploma required.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 3+ years’ B to B/SMB environment
  • Sales or Account Management background
  • Skills that can communicate both written and oral across multi-functional groups to ensure results.
  • Problem solver, strong business acumen, ability to collaborate and self motivated
  • A reliable self-starter attitude who is capable of thriving in an entrepreneurial environment.
  • Experience in using a CRM software (preferably Salesforce) to maintain and plan sales pipeline
  • Experience in the automotive and or transportation industry is a plus
  • Ability to analyze variances and trends to determine changes in key business metrics vs expectations and review with the leadership team.
  • Experience with ACV a plus, with working knowledge of all ACV Auctions products and services.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, Google, Salesforce, etc. or comparable software application.
  • Team Player that is adaptable to changes and improvement
