The Warehouse Distribution Lead - 2nd Shift encompasses various responsibilities within the distribution warehouse.  This includes, but is not limited to, tasks such as picking and packing orders, loading trucks, overseeing inventory in coolers/freezers for local routes, distributing workload among team members, ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of order pick/pack processes, serving as a subject matter expert for M3 (ERP) related items, and collaborating closely with management, daytime Sr. Lead – Distribution Warehouse to guarantee the efficient and accurate packing and loading of orders onto trucks for timely deliveries.

This position is based in our Dayton, NJ warehouse.

2nd Shift Hours = 3:00pm - 11:30pm

 

What You Will Do At Acme:

  • Ensure inventory availability for day shift order fulfillment by replenishing pick locations and conducting inventory counts. Work closely with the Sr. Manager on reconciliations to maintain accuracy.
  • Audit picks to verify order completeness and ensure customer shipments are ready each morning.
  • Lead, train, and motivate warehouse staff to optimize performance and maintain operational efficiency.
  • Work closely with warehouse, supply chain, and customer service teams to streamline order fulfillment.
  • Identify and implement enhancements to local routing and warehouse efficiency.
  • Manage the movement of products to and from freezers and coolers while ensuring quality standards.
  • Assist in building product boxes and preparing shipments.
  • Load and unload trucks, ensuring accurate and efficient handling of goods.
  • Oversee order picking, packing, labeling, and invoicing accuracy within the M3 system. Ensure compliance with QA/FS shipping protocols.
  • Serve as an M3 (ERP) trainer, providing in-field training and Level 1 technical support for crew members.
  • Provide detailed shift summaries, operational updates, and concerns to the Sr. Manager and Site Lead via email.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support warehouse operations.

 
Your Education & Experience: 

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3+ years of experience in warehouse operations.
  • 1+ years of experience leading teams.
  • Experience in order assembly, inventory management, or related field a plus.
  • Experience working in a production, manufacturing, or high-volume environment.
  • Experience using warehouse management systems and tools to track inventory.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Completion of training programs as assigned and/or required including standard of work.

Physical Requirements:

  • Work environment such as sitting on a computer working at a desk or prolonged periods of standing.
  • Ability to travel as required.
  • Ability to work in cold, wet, warehouse environments.
  • Stretching, bending, pulling, etc.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
  • The ability to work in cold (0*F to 45*F) and wet environment.      


Health & Safety Requirements: 

  • Observe and follow all safety rules.
  • Wear required PPE.
  • Follow mandated OSHA regulations.
  • Report all incidents including near misses immediately.

Compensation Range:  $24.00 - $26.00/hour. 

*This compensation range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
