Position Summary

This role manages ACCESS' grants portfolio, ensuring compliance with funder requirements and supporting the organization's growth strategy. It involves optimizing department processes and aligning team efforts with key objectives. It requires strong writing, data analysis, budgeting, and project management skills, focusing on outcome measurement.

 

Core Job Responsibilities

This role involves planning and supporting new healthcare programs that align with organizational priorities while developing sustainable funding strategies to expand and retain financial support. It requires identifying and securing private and government funding, cultivating key relationships with stakeholders, and aligning funding efforts with policy trends and organizational goals. The role ensures compliance with programmatic, fiscal, and administrative requirements, manages communications with various partners, and leads direct reports through clear expectations and development. Additionally, it promotes cross-functional collaboration and contributes to health equity initiatives as needed.

 

Requirements/Preferences

This role requires a bachelor's degree with at least eight years of experience in health administration, government relations, or a related field or a master's degree in public health, health administration, business, or public policy with a minimum of five years of experience. Candidates must have at least five years of experience in fundraising, grant writing, and grants management and strong analytical, persuasive writing, and editing skills. Practical administrative abilities, leadership in achieving grant revenue targets, and experience managing diverse teams are essential. Familiarity with funders, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and experience with donor development or  Raiser's Edge CRM software is preferred.

 

Working Conditions/Equipment

This role is based in a typical office environment with occasional visits to health centers. It requires local travel between clinical sites, hospitals, and community locations, a valid driver's license, and proof of insurance when using a personal vehicle. There is also an opportunity to work a hybrid schedule.



ACCESS is a Network of Federally Qualified Health Centers treating patients on the frontlines of community-based health care. Depending on position applied/being recruited for, candidates may be required to be vaccinated against communicable diseases and provide supporting documentation proving that they are properly vaccinated, or apply for religious and/or medical vaccination exemption as a part of the application process.

 

The pay ranges provided represent the minimum to mid-range for positions. Actual compensation will be determined based on a combination of factors including years of experience, educational background, market conditions, and available grant funding.
