Warehouse/Purchasing - Temporary Warehouse Tech I
Position Summary
Under direct supervision, perform inventory checks, stock warehouse(s), receive and ship material.
Supervisor Responsibilities
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities over other employees.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Verify and inspect materials for quality, quantity, and conformance to specifications.
- Accept incoming shipments or deliveries of materials and equipment.
- Receive material by verifying physical quantity received matches vendor packing slip.
- Monitor designated miscellaneous supplies; assuring adequate level is kept on hand to meet the needs of the mine.
- Perform perpetual physical inventories (cycle count) by counting and recording physical quantities for comparison against inventory system quantities.
- Monitor Wicket area to ensure any and all requests for Material or Information are processed in a timely manner (this includes requests via phone/ radio/ email/ or walk up.
- Picking materials on Issue Requests and packaging them appropriately, then staging them in the Work Package area for pickup.
- Put away stock that is received for inventory and ensure cleanliness and Security of the warehouse.
- Perform related work as required.
Typical Physical Demands
Ability to lift minimum of 5 pounds to a maximum of 15 pounds unassisted; able to perform repetitive standing, sitting, stooping, walking, stretching, reaching, lifting, and use full range of body motions. May require working rotating shifts including nights and weekends.
Typical Working Conditions
Work in a safe manner always and be aware of environmental responsibilities both in the office and in the manufacturing setting. This is sedentary work which requires the following physical activities: bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, sitting, walking, finger dexterity, feeling, repetitive motions, talking, hearing and visual acuity.
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 2 years related work experience which may include knowledge of mining equipment parts and operational supplies.
- Any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills, knowledge and abilities.
