POSITION SUMMARY:

  • The Warehouse Supervisor reports to the Regional Director, Warehouse Administration
  • Located in Lewisville, TX
  • Full-Time, 8 AM - 5 PM
  • In Office

 

The Warehouse Supervisor assumes a leadership role in planning, organizing, and controlling warehouse operations. This position involves overseeing staff activities, managing stock control, ensuring the receipt, storage, retrieval, and timely delivery of goods. The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for maintaining health and safety standards, enhancing warehouse efficiency, and implementing cost reduction measures. With strong leadership and analytical skills, this role plays a critical part in the smooth functioning of the warehouse.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Warehouse Operations Management:

  • Plan and organize all warehouse resources and activities in alignment with the company's objectives and targets.
  • Oversee and assign tasks to staff, ensuring efficient and productive work processes.

Staff Development:

  • Develop the staff through training sessions and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of growth, motivation, and teamwork.

Health and Safety:

  • Ensure that all health and safety requirements are met within the warehouse.
  • Take responsibility for building security and stock protection.

Reporting and Analysis:

  • Maintain and issue weekly/monthly reports to monitor warehouse performance and stock control.
  • Implement cost reduction measures in all aspects of warehouse transactions and activities.

Documentation and Record Keeping:

  • Create daily work logs and conduct audits of daily labor and billing reports.
  • Suggest measures for the improvement and development of warehouse operations.

Team Leadership:

  • Motivate, supervise, and direct staff to create an effective and efficient team.
  • Review all inventory restocking purchase orders and discuss order points regularly.

Inventory and Supply Management:

  • Oversee supply needs for the warehouse, collaborating with the Inventory Control Manager.
  • Maintain all vehicle records, including preventative maintenance, tire wear, repairs, etc. (as applicable).

Continuous Improvement:

  • Collaborate with teams to implement cycle count procedures and process improvements (as applicable).

 

COMPETENCIES:

  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to take charge of warehouse operations.
  • Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills to identify areas of improvement and efficiency.
  • Ability to function effectively in a deadline-driven, fast-paced work environment.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities to prioritize work and resources effectively.
  • Strong commitment to maintaining health and safety standards in the workplace.
  • Ability to travel as needed for warehouse operations and management.

 

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • 5 - 6 years of experience in a management role in the warehouse or commercial foodservice industry, or equivalent Military or practical experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Team management and leadership experience.
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check post offer acceptance.

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds. 
  • Bend or twist body. 
  • Use hands to handle, control or feel objects, tools. or controls. 
  • Stand for long periods of time. 
  • Keep or regain their balance. 
  • Kneel, stoop, crouch, or crawl.

The range provided represents the national average pay range for this position and is considered to be a general guideline. Pay for this position will reflect the candidate’s unique qualifications and may be higher or lower than the range provided based on employee geographic location. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other local, state, and federal law.
 

In addition to base salary, this role will be eligible for participation in TriMark’s’ benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, 401K (with employer match), etc.  Leadership positions may also qualify for participation in bonus programs commensurate with role and scope of responsibility.
