RI Training Coordinator CIT

General Responsibilities:
The CIT Training Coordinator will provide training coordination and support for CIT-RI This position, reporting to the CIT-RI Statewide Coordinator, is a key role that interacts with leaders from many organizations, municipalities, businesses, first responders, police, and community members to implement Crisis Intervention Team training programs across Rhode Island.
This is a grant funded position for a 36–60-month grant term, with the possibly of extension based on funding.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- Provide own reliable transportation with proof of RI minimum requirements of auto insurance

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, individuals with equivalent experience and the required skills are encouraged to apply
- Bi-lingual candidates (Spanish/English) and/or part of one of the communities preferred

Significant Job Functions:
- Organizing many moving parts, providing, or creating workflow efficiencies, and anticipating CIT-RI project needs
- Coordinating and managing multiple calendars for events, meetings, conference call, and deadlines related to CIT-RI
- Planning and managing logistics of CIT academies (i.e., scheduling, reminders, prepare materials, agenda, communication, etc.), CIT Workshops, and occasional CIT related community events and outreach efforts
- Maintaining email/mailing lists for all CIT certified people in RI
- Distribute quarterly newsletter for CIT-RI and other CIT-RI communications
- Supporting various applications processes and development of reports and presentations for internal and external audiences related to CIT
- Supporting tracking of CIT subcontracts, grants parameters, and reporting deadlines
- Data entry and coordination of data collection from CIT partners and key stakeholders
- Flexibility, independence, self-starter, and team player who can follow through on direction and ask clarifying questions
Physical Effort/ Environment:
- This role is hybrid that can be done onsite or remote.
- This position includes some community-based activities.
- Moderate physical activity is required: sitting, standing, walking, and lifting. Travel to off-site meetings and other program sites as needed.
- General office environment: manual dexterity needed for keyboard work, writing and phone calls.
- Demonstrated experience working with computers and other technology and Microsoft Office applications.
Work Schedule Demands:
- Full-time, Average of 40 hours per week Monday through Friday with occasional evenings and weekends as required. Overtime available periodically (max once per month, min quarterly) to support 40-hour CIT academies.
Communication Skills:
- Must possess good oral communication skills, telephone skills, and written skills. Some writing is required including correspondence, interoffice communication.
