1st shift Maintenance:

Role Purpose:  Performs various activities in maintaining and repairing physical structures of building and maintaining equipment by performing the following duties.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:  

 

  • Review work orders and PMs daily.
  • Engaged in maintaining building and facility equipment.
  • Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, etc.
  • Perform maintenance on CNC machines, ovens, and various equipment.
  • Perform electrical, mechanical, construction functions as assigned.
  • Electronics troubleshooting.
  • Basic understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • Confers with area supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments.
  • Language Skills

    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

    Mathematical Skills

    Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

    Reasoning Ability

    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and risk of electrical shock.  The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places; and outside weather conditions.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

  • Education and/or Experience:

    • 2 to 5 years in manufacturing environment
    • Knowledge of electric power 120, 220, 480 voltage, and all related equipment
    • Knowledge of plumbing and related equipment including fire prevention systems
    • Drywall repair, painting, cleaning
    • Heating and cooling repair and maintenance
    • Ability to read blueprints, good problem-solving skills, ability to work with all types of hand and power tools.
    • Experience with lathes, mills, grinders, CNC Machines, ovens, and presses.
