Process Engineer- Cold Forming
Role Summary
The Process Engineer Cold Forming will apply engineering principles to design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes and continuous improvement in product quality. This role involves recommending, analyzing, and refining equipment and methods to improve efficiency, quality, and reliability in the production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess current cold forming manufacturing equipment and processes, recommending efficient, cost-effective improvements that enhance product quality, reliability, and overall operational performance.
- Analyze existing systems, identifying opportunities for optimization, process enhancements, and cost-saving measures to improve throughput, reduce waste, and increase production efficiency.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts and provide hands-on support to repair or calibrate equipment, minimizing downtime and ensuring smooth, continuous production.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of process performance, preparing comprehensive reports that document findings, identify root causes, and offer actionable recommendations for improvement.
- Design and deliver training programs to educate staff on the correct use of equipment, process protocols, and best practices.
- Maintain a well-organized, clean, and safe workspace in alignment with 5S principles, driving continuous improvements in work area organization and efficiency.
- Work closely with other engineering, production, and maintenance teams to ensure seamless execution of process improvements, troubleshooting, and project implementations.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
- Education: Bachelor's
- Experience: Minimum of 2 to 4 years of experience.
- Certifications/Licenses:
- Solid understanding and practical knowledge of engineering principles and manufacturing practices.
- 3+ years of experience in cold forming, cold heading, or metal forming processes.
Preferred:
- Design Experience is a bonus!
