Job Summary
|
Assembles, installs, tests, and maintains electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures. Diagnoses and repairs electrical issues to ensure the safe and efficient operation of machinery and facility electrical systems.

Job Duties
|
• Use hand tools and testing instruments to diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, isolating defects in wiring, switches, motors, and other electrical equipment • Replace faulty switches, sockets, and other elements of electrical systems • Dismantle electrical machinery and replace defective electrical or mechanical parts such as gears, brushes, and armatures • Install and maintain motors, transformers, and lighting fixtures, ensuring proper connections and circuit completion according to diagram specifications • Perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures and company policies • Inspect completed work for conformance with local building and safety codes • Estimate time and material costs for electrical projects • Requisition necessary electrical supplies and equipment • Read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics; possess knowledge of the National Electrical Code • Complete all necessary documentation accurately and in a timely manner • Adhere to 5S standards (e.g., maintain cleanliness of work area) • Follow all Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies and procedures • Perform other duties as assigned

Experience and Education
|
• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician in an industrial or manufacturing setting • Accreditation from a technical school or completion of an applicable skilled trades program • Valid Journeyman Electrician license or certification required

• Ability to interpret work instructions and technical documentation • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills • Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and blueprints • Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes • Intermediate verbal and written communication skills • Ability to work independently and as part of a team • Manual dexterity and attention to detail • Ability to lift/move heavy objects as needed • Physical stamina to perform tasks in various environments
