Job Summary: The Quality Inspector performs a variety of inspections and tests on units, materials, and products throughout the production process. This role ensures compliance with quality and reliability standards, contributing to the overall excellence of our products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspections: Conduct inspections of finished and in-process goods to verify compliance with work instructions. Rework or reject items as necessary.
  • Gaging Instruments: Utilize required gaging instruments effectively to assess product quality and ensure accuracy.
  • First Piece Inspection: Complete first piece inspections to confirm that initial products meet quality control requirements.
  • Data Recording: Record and input statistical data accurately for quality analysis and reporting.
  • Procedure Development: Assist in writing and updating inspection procedures, protocols, and checklists to improve quality processes.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze inspection data and create summaries to validate compliance or highlight deviations from established standards.
  • Audits: Perform audits to maintain quality standards and ensure adherence to procedures.
  • Issue Escalation: Identify and escalate quality issues when necessary to ensure prompt resolution.
  • Documentation: Complete all required documents accurately and in a timely manner.
  • 5S Standards: Maintain a clean and organized work area in line with 5S standards.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow all safety, environmental, and quality policies and procedures.
  • Additional Duties: Perform other related duties as assigned.

Experience and Education:

  • 2 to 4 years of experience in a quality inspection role or related field.
  • Work performed under general supervision, handling moderately complex issues while referring more complex problems to senior staff.
  • Solid working knowledge of quality inspection processes and standards.

Competencies/Skills:

  • Ability to interpret and follow work instructions effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic mathematical skills for data analysis.
  • Proficient computer skills for data entry and reporting.
  • Technical expertise related to quality inspection and testing.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.
  • Problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
  • Intermediate proficiency in the use and application of gaging instruments.
