Job Summary
With direct supervision from the Manager, the Mechanical Lab Technician is responsible for performing specified tests using various equipment under a controlled test protocol by performing the following duties:
Duties and Responsibilities
- Conducts routine tests of new components, assemblies and systems based on test criteria as established by policies, procedures, or written test plans
- Works to ensures project schedules are met
- Uses test fixtures to carry out various testing requirements
- Utilizes test equipment to perform reliability testing
- Maintains accurate records of test results
- Assists higher level staff as needed
- Comply with company policies and procedures
- Support and follow internal health and safety programs and protocols
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
- Hands on & familiar with power tools
Qualification
- Secondary school diploma.
- 0-3 years of in related field.
- Basic testing experience; tests electro-mechanical components, parts and systems with supervisory technical oversight.
- Basic team player skills; able to work well with others and support internal/external customer needs.
- An understanding of basic trouble shooting, problem solving and testing procedures.
- Ability to handle basic issues and problems and referring more complex issues to higher- level staff.
- Accountability for maintaining a high level of integrity on all work performed.
- Builds good cross-functional relationships within a team environment.
- Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
