POSITION SUMMARY

As an integral part of a team, is responsible for continuously looking for ways to improve each guest’s experience and providing efficient operation of the Engineering Storeroom. The Engineering Storeroom Attendant will order, receive, store, and issue parts, as well as ensure that all requisitions are accurate and complete. The Engineering Storeroom Attendant will also maintain inventory for engineering parts room, storage rooms, and tool room.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  1. Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures and

standards.

  1. Report and assist with all activities related to purchase and receipt of all products ordered.
  2. Conduct parts research, price inquiry, and generate requisitions after obtaining pre-approval from supervisors.
  3. Conduct receiving functions. Insure proper product receipt and recordation.
  4. Maintain storage of parts inventory items, placement, organization, cleanliness, and accountability of products.
  5. Issue parts to engineers, verify accuracy of items issued.
  6. Replenish parts room stock and parts bin in the shop.
  7. Collect warranty repairable parts and ship out to vendor for warranty repair and/or replacement.
  8. Monthly reconcile order status with Engineering Coordinator, and report to Supervisors and Managers.
  9. Maintain storage of tools and safety equipment inventory items, placement, organization, cleanliness, and accountability of products.
  10. Issue parts and safety equipment to engineers, verify accuracy of items issued.
  11. Keep track of tools and safety equipment being issued and in stock. Insure accuracy of the tracking sheet.
  12. Conduct inventory cycle count of all storeroom items, including parts, tools, and safety equipment.
  13. Develop and maintain a parts ordering master record which organizes the hotel parts by categories.
  14. Perform small appliances minor repairs.
  15. Maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of work areas at all times. Ensure safety of work area.
  16. Ensure movement of all products using FIFO method. Report dead stock items to Supervisors and Managers.
  17. Ensure daily shortage/overage list is communicated to Supervisor.
  18. Perform all other duties as may be required or assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent vocational training certificate.
  • Any combination of education and experience which would provide the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to meet the minimum qualifications to perform the essential functions of this position.

  • Must be highly organized, detail-oriented and have the ability to multi-task.
  • Compute basic mathematical calculations (add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers).
  • Must be able to use 10 key calculator by touch.
  • Must have knowledge and able to use customized computer software.
  • Must have good communication skills
  • Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize.
  • Ability to learn and perform minor repairs.
  • Ability to be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.

  • Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended.
  • Ability to resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation and organization of assigned work areas.
  • Arrive to work on time and be ready to work at your work station at the scheduled starting time.
