Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift

Job Summary: 

The qualified candidate will provide support for production by repairing and maintaining equipment to reach production efficiency in a safe manner. 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance and repair work to equipment and the building
• Set up lines for production
• Follow proper lock out/tag out procedures when working on equipment
• Install new equipment as needed
• Perform general maintenance on equipment in addition to welding projects on machines, conveyors, and other equipment
• Work with the Safety Committee to correct safety hazards in the plant
• Additional duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

• Must be knowledgeable in GMPs and HACCP
• Basic knowledge of electricity
• General maintenance knowledge required
• Knowledge of hydraulics/pneumatics, electrical wiring and motors and welding
• Knowledge of PLC with experience preferred
• Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted and 100 pounds assisted
• Ability to stand or walk up to 90% of the time scheduled
• Ability to prioritize work schedule
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to perform basic mathematics calculations
• Must have the ability to understand and follow all safety policies and procedures

Job Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 18 years of age
• Minimum of 2-3 years mechanical experience preferred

Equipment Used:

• All machine shop equipment
• Forklift and personal lift
• Hand truck
• PPE and various safety equipment

Starting Pay: Maintenance Technician I $25.05/hr., Maintenance Technician II $26.35/hr., Maintenance Technician III $28.50/hr, a shift differential is offered for 3rd shift opportunities. Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. The position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive based on company and individual performance.  We offer a comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees including health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the 90th day of employment.
