What We Need

Corpay is currently looking to hire a Product Owner within our Buyatab division. This position falls under our Buyatab line of business and is located in Vancouver. We are looking for someone who is passionate about agile methodology and thrives in a highly collaborative team environment. You think critically as well as have an ability to empathize with different team perspectives and user groups. You want to be involved in the entire product development cycle, balance big picture strategy with day to day needs, and to bring people with varied perspectives, needs, and ideas together toward meaningful action and delivering value. This is an ideal opportunity for an individual looking to add a great product to their portfolio, work in a highly iterative environment and within a Product team dedicated to building a better gifting experience for the user.

The salary range/hourly rate for this position is $80,000 - $110,000.

How We Work

As a Product Owner, you will be expected to work in a hybrid environment. Corpay will set you up for success by providing:

  • Assigned workspace in Vancouver office
  • Company-issued equipment + remote access
  • Hands-on training

Role Responsibilities

  • Working with Product, Client Success and Customer Service teams to research, understand, and validate user needs and market opportunities; and translate them into product requirements.
  • Forming a deep understanding of our users and new markets by conducting user research, synthesizing data from metrics and sales/customer conversations, and testing core assumptions.
  • Assisting the Product Manager on defining product strategy by closely working with all stakeholders to achieve company’s strategic goals.
  • Working with highly efficient engineering teams to deliver products built with cutting edge technology effectively and usefully.
  • Managing project scope by making tradeoffs between key software requirements such as time vs cost, software security vs speed.
  • Creating and groom the product backlog based on priority driven from users and Product Strategy.
  • Managing both internal stakeholder and user expectations of application features and capabilities based on team capacity and initiative estimates.
  • Working with engineering teams to assess and mitigate potential security vulnerabilities in the product.

 Qualifications & Skills

  • 2-3 years of experience as a Product Owner. You have seen a successful track record of delivering high value products to customers.
  • A Computer Science or Engineering background ensuring you can intelligently communicate with all stakeholders about technical tradeoffs and product details.
  • Excellent communication skills. Able to convey complex ideas to elicit stakeholder alignment and buy-in across all levels of the business.
  • Strong understanding of how product development teams operate cross functionally. You have the know-how to talk with engineers about architecture and technical considerations that impact the Product.
  • High EQ. Able to motivate people around a common goal, and facilitate thoughtful and constructive conversations between disparate groups.
  • Strong hands-on experience managing digital product (like ecommerce site) development including developer facing products (like APIs) and shipping elegant client facing products.
  • Strong sense of software security and experience of working with engineering or security teams at early stages of product development.
  • You are comfortable thinking through processes and workflows, anticipating points of failure, and working to make processes robust.
  • Experience of working with one or multiple high-performing teams of software engineers using Agile software development practices.
  • Experience with data analytics to understand product usage, identify opportunities, measure product performance and to suggest improvements to increase usage.
  • Proficiency in latest Product Management theory and concepts. Strong understanding of product design thinking and usability heuristics.
  • A strong understanding of Lean, Agile, and Product Management best practices, product design thinking and usability heuristics.

This salary range is provided for locations which require such disclosure. Where a position or applicant may fall in a particular wage range varies depending on a number of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience, training, licensure and certifications (if applicable), and other business and organization needs. The disclosed range has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic markets.  At Corpay, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.  An estimate of the minimum and maximum salary range is $80,000 -$110,000.
