Friendship is looking for passionate Full Time Admissions Nurse/Nurse Supervisor to join our Friendship Richfield team - Salem, who want to make a difference in the lives of others. The ideal candidate must hold a RN or LPN nursing license.

• Must be a licensed Registered Nurse / RN or Licensed Practical Nurse / LPN in the state of VA or eligible to sit for boards in the state of VA.
• BLS and CPR certification required; Friendship provides training
• Supervisory experience preferred
• Minimum of 1 year experience in a Long Term Care/Nursing facility

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all nursing activity occurring on shift and will serve as first responder in the event of an emergency
• Observe resident care; document condition changes, significant reactions and incidents
• Directs activities of nursing staff, assigns and supervises all duties, determines staffing needs and handles disciplinary actions as needed
• Supervise medication administration, implement all physician orders, order blood work, and maintain supplies
• Complete new resident admissions
• Respond to incoming admission calls/referrals and provide appropriate follow up
• Provide direct care to residents including preparing and administering medications
• Prepare and complete electronic documentation
• On call is required
