We have an incredible opportunity for a dynamic Sanitation Lead to join our growing New York Team!

Responsibilities:  

  • Supervise sanitation team ensuring all areas meet proper sanitation schedules per DO & CO hygiene standards.
  • Partner with Hygiene and Quality Assurance Lead to maintain facility cleanliness, regulatory standards, and industry best practices.
  • Manage routine locker cleaning and ensure compliance with hygiene standards.
  • Monitor and maintain chemical inventory, PPE, and sanitation equipment.
  • Track stock levels and communicate order needs to management.
  • Oversee employee tasks and adjust staffing as needed based on operational needs.
  • Verify chemical titrations with suppliers and monitor daily chemical concentration in dispensing equipment.
  • Support audits, inspections (customer, health department, etc.), ensuring compliance during scheduled and unscheduled inspections.
  • Assist with maintaining a daily sanitation schedule, collaborating with Food Safety and Hygiene on environmental testing.
  • Providing coaching and leadership support during new hire orientations, annual retraining, and ongoing skill development.
  • Promote a proactive safety culture.
  • Monitor and report on quality performance.

Qualifications:  

  • Prior experience in sanitation and a comprehensive understanding of sanitation programs.
  • Highschool diploma or GED preferred but not required.
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred.
  • Proactive and well-organized with the ability to manage substantial workloads.
  • Capable of working independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
