Manager, Dome Operators
Summary
The Manager, Venue Operators will drive our groundbreaking immersive technology, creating incredible experiences for our guests. Cosm is looking for an operator manager who has experience in a live entertainment or hospitality environment. We’re looking for individuals who put customers first and always strive to provide the highest level of service. The ideal candidate would be organized, motivated, and proactive to ensure that venue operations are running smoothly. You will lead a team that is responsible for the maintenance, support, and operation of Cosm’s audio/visual display systems throughout the Cosm venue.
Responsibilities
- Hire, train, and lead a team of Audio/Visual Operators in charge of running the Cosm Experience digital displays.
- Develop an optimized Operator schedule to ensure coverage across key venue events, all digital displays within the venue, and all venue A/V systems.
- Ensure venue presentation systems are in a constant state of readiness.
- Author and keep current runbooks, Run-of-Shows, and event preparation documentation at all times.
- Provide event ‘scene’ creation and system preparation documentation for Operators to ensure reliable system operation.
- Build and communicate daily call sheets for venue operation and AV needs including primary and secondary positions, dome and hall assignments, setup and strike times, etc.
- Serve as ‘voice of the Operators’ and provide routine feedback to the Cosm development staff in order to advance tool functionality.
- Operate Cosm display systems during high-profile events, private events, and demos.
- Coordinate with Venue IT, Venue personnel, Technical Directors, and additional support staff to provide a cosmworthy Cosm Experience at all times.
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or similar relevant field
- Any additional relevant diploma or certification, or industry experience with large venue AV technology is a plus.
- Familiarity with audio/visual signal flows and diagrams, and AV automation systems
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Must be enthusiastic, self-motivated, and organized.
- Strong leadership skills, an ability to remain calm under pressure, and an ability to build and motivate a team of operators.
- Experience in Audio, Lighting, Broadcast, IT, and/or streaming IP video workflows is a plus.
- Must be able to work during live events, with high noise levels, and busy environments.

- On-the-job operational, maintenance, and safety training will be provided.
