Medical Director

Job Summary

The Medical Director is responsible for establishing and overseeing psychiatric and addiction clinical practice for all behavioral health services provided by CBI. The medical director ensures that quality services are provided in accordance with evidence-based practices, community standards, and consistent with state and federal laws. The medical director coordinates with the practice management team to oversee the day-to-day clinical issues and assists in managing practitioners. In addition, the medical director coordinates with the Psychiatric Medical Director and Chief Medical Officer to establish and oversee integrated care in the Crisis, Inpatient, and Expedited Care Units. The medical director will be responsible for establishing and maintaining effective relationships with community stakeholders. They will be essential in ensuring end to end coordination of care is completed on every patient. They will participate in CBI committees, including but not limited to peer review, quality committee, pharmacy committee, safety and wellness committee. Adheres to CBI, Inc. Policies and Procedures and Rules and Regulations as applicable. Reports to the Chief Medical Officer for clinical performance.

Skills/Requirements:

  • MD or DO and completion of an accredited residency program in psychiatry · Minimum of 2 years' experience as a physician; 3 years management experience preferred.
  • MD or DO, board certification in psychiatry with an active Arizona licenses and DEA licensure in good standing
  • CPR/First Aid
  • CPI Certification
  • Fingerprint Clearance Card
