Gallery Books is seeking a Marketing Assistant for the Gallery Books Group. This person will support the creation and execution of marketing campaigns for a broad range of books focused on pop-culture, including celebrity memoir and biography, commercial and literary fiction, topical nonfiction, political nonfiction, and graphic novels.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the Marketing Director with campaign execution and administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, mailings, and processing expenses.
  • Supporting the title marketers in the execution of marketing plans for distinct titles and genres.
  • Assisting in outreach to bookselling accounts, bloggers, book clubs, and other third parties, as well as consumers, for cross-promotion and giveaways.
  • Managing ARC/galley orders and tracking account mailing for Barnes & Noble and independent booksellers.
  • Contributing ideas and occasionally creating content for the Gallery Books social platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and X).
  • Maintaining tracking logs for advertising/promotional items and monitoring the process in conjunction with the ad/promo department.
  • Handling administrative responsibilities for the department including mailings and bill processing, regularly updating our shared documents, and maintaining the Gallery Books website under the Director of Marketing and Publicity.

Knowledge of Canva, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, social media platforms, and general computer skills are expected. Familiarity with other design apps a plus. Strong writing, communication, time management, and organization skills are essential.

In-office presence required.
