Simon & Schuster is seeking an Associate Director, Client Sales, Special Markets who will be a key strategic leader responsible for driving revenue growth and ensuring superior service for our Distribution Clients within the Special Markets channel. This high-visibility role serves as the primary liaison between Distribution Clients, the Distribution Client Services team, and the internal Special Markets team.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned Distribution Clients and the Distribution Client Services team for all Special Markets related matters.
- Strategic Sales Leadership: Attend all client sales conferences, identify key title opportunities for each Special Markets channel, and develop targeted sales strategies to maximize revenue potential.
- Performance Analysis & Reporting: Conduct monthly reviews of client sales performance across all Special Markets channels, analyze trends, and provide actionable insights to the four Special Markets Channel Directors to inform go-to-market strategies and achieve sales targets.
- Internal Communication & Collaboration: Effectively communicate all pertinent news, updates, and client-specific information to the Special Markets team. Proactively communicate Distribution Client expectations for new clients to the relevant teams, ensuring a smooth and successful onboarding process.
- Executive Reporting: Prepare and deliver quarterly business reviews to the Distribution Client Sales team, highlighting performance, key initiatives, and future growth opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years sales experience, account support management, or equivalent experience in a mid-size or large publishing company
- Must have Special Markets experience
- Ability to work well under pressure and proactively solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
- Efficiency in multitasking and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
