Turret Driver (Order Selector)

Job Overview

This is a role within the distribution center of Simon & Schuster, a 100-year-old company with offices around the world, that is also the only US owned book publishing house. For this role we are seeking experience Order Selector. 

What you will be doing on a daily basis

• Select replenishment method for Split Case with Order Selector
• Replenish returned products utilizing the Order Selector
• Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to meet LM picking quotas
• Employ RF device for operational tasks

Some requirements:

• Understanding and willingness to train on equipment such as Cherry Pickers, Reach Trucks, Forklifts, and Electric Pallet Jacks.
• Ability to operate equipment in a safe and controlled manner.
• Ability to handle 50+ pounds and work at heights of up to 25+ feet.
• You must have careful attention to detail and strong communication skills.
• Some analytical experience is preferable.
• You must have the ability to stand for up to 8 hours/day
  
  

Shift and Schedule:

• Our distribution facility operates in 3 shifts and this particular role is part of the Morning shift, working Monday- Friday (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM).  There is an opportunity for overtime as well.
