Replenisher

Job Overview

This is a role within the distribution center of Simon & Schuster, a 100-year-old company with offices around the world, that is also the only US owned book publishing house.   In this role you will be responsible for Replenishing the Split Case department in order to for the Voice Pickers to select the orders.

What you will be doing on a daily basis

Use an RF device (Radio Frequency device) to receive and select individual items for split-case customer orders according to supervisor instructions.
Operate a pallet jack to safely move and handle pallets within the warehouse.
Ensure precise completion of assigned tasks and meet specified deadlines for order picking and other responsibilities.
Perform routine inventory tasks such as stock movement (moves), cycle counts, unpacking new stock, and repackaging excess inventory (weekly).
Independently manage assigned tasks and obligations.
Be ready to take on additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

Some requirements:

• You must be able to lift a minimum of 40 pounds. 
• You must have careful attention to detail and strong communication skills
  Some analytical experience is preferable
  You must have the ability to stand for up to 8 hours/day
  
• Experience operating a Pallet Jack.

Shift and Schedule:

• Our distribution facility operates in 3 shifts and this particular role is part of the Morning shift, working Monday- Friday (5:00 AM – 1:00 PM).  There is an opportunity for overtime as well.
