Quality Control Sampler

Summary of Position
The Quality Control Sampler will perform routine material sampling activities, collecting representative samples for raw materials, hard goods and packaging materials and provide samples to the Quality Control lab for analysis. Maintain accurate documentation for all sampling activities, including room/equipment usage logs, room cleaning logs and appropriate forms. Perform material movement as needed for quality reasons. Perform routine room cleaning per established cleaning schedule. Perform basic inspection on critical incoming stock items.
Job Responsibilities
- Sample material per established sampling plans and procedures and deliver samples to QC laboratory for testing.
- Perform inspection and basic measurements as needed on incoming materials.
- Participate in basic Quality Control procedures and inventory management.
- Maintain good documentation practices.
- Identify and report any discrepancies or non-compliant raw materials or hard goods to appropriate personnel. Perform material movement as needed per quality notification.
- Maintain accurate inventory, both quantity and location, using ERP system.
- Author and revise SOPs and WIP related sampling as needed
Key Working Relationships
This role must maintain strong working relationships within the Quality Control, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, Production, and Warehouse departments.
Required Skills & Experience
- High school diploma.
- Firm understanding of GxPs.
- Attention to detail and ability to accurately identify and record quality issues.
- Effective communication skills.
- Physical ability to handle and move raw materials.
- Minimum 4 years of experience working in a GMP manufacturing facility.
- Ability to work alone and cross functionally when needed to resolve issues.
- Versatile and able to adapt to re-prioritizing.
- Ability to wear respirator
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience working in a lab setting.
- Experience working in an FDA regulated facility.
- Experience using data management system and ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics 365).
- Experience using a forklift.
