2nd Shift - Assembler

Role Purpose:  To safely assemble quality parts in a timely manner to help achieve the production schedule and to meet customer delivery requirements.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain clean and organized work area.
  • Contribute to work instructions as related to this position.
  • Dependability in attendance and completion of assigned duties.
  • Willing and able to work with and assist co-workers.
  • Work safely.
  • Document accurately and completely in production software.
  • Comply with and support ISO quality system in all activities.
  • Assembly and/or fabricate all products per work instructions, prints, or assembly aids.
  • Measure dummies and parts for CG, weight, and dimensions.
  • Clean and/or polish all finished parts.
  • Assemble all dummies and test equipment effectively to meet all quality requirements and with little to no assistance.
  • Record all data as required.

Critical Competencies:  

  • Ability to follow work instructions.
  • Ability to work unsupervised to meet schedules and deadlines required.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions required.
  • Mechanical aptitude for small scale assembly
  • Ability to read prints required.
  • Ability to use scales and weigh accurately required.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Attention to detail required.

Physical Demands: 

  • Ability to work at bench standing and/or sitting for 4 hours at a time.
  • Visual acuity to read prints and precision scales and callipers.
  • Ability to communicate with co-workers and supervisors.
  • Physical strength to lift and carry 75 pounds occasionally.
  • Adequate dexterity for using various hand tools.
  • Keyboarding

Education/Experience:  Minimum HS diploma or GED required. Prior experience with mechanical assembly/disassembly preferred.  Prior experience reading and using blueprints and work instructions to build product preferred.
