Engineering Intern
Summary:
An internship with TAG Solutions is a unique opportunity to apply the latest technology to solve problems in the day-to-day operations of some of America’s largest businesses across the manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, automotive, and aerospace industries among others. As an Intern, you will be part of a bright and innovative engineering team to develop customer solutions using the latest in automation products. You will work with our engineers to review potential customer applications and interpret customer requirements with a view to determining the most appropriate technical solutions. Additionally, as an Intern, you will also gain exposure to commercial business practices such as preparation of detailed quotations and project proposals, project delivery and implementation, time management and prioritizing of work schedule.
Duties and Responsobilities:
Participation in the application and integration of robotic, vision, and control technologies within industrial environments.
- Assist in the solution development process from scope definition, proof of concept and project outline processes.
- Assist the development of a project proposal by developing the scope, bill of materials, project timeline and commissioning statement.
- Assist in product programming and customer demonstrations.
- Work within defined project timelines to complete tasks according to project schedule.
- Revise/review and create functional specifications.
- Create test and analysis plans for proof of concept on proposed solutions.
- Other duties as directed.

- Education/Experience: Working towards a BS degree in engineering from an accredited institution with a preference towards Electrical or Mechanical engineering
- Math Ability: Ability to understand mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- Language Ability: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exist. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
