Dealer Consignment Sales Representative

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the sales process at ​ Alliance Auto Auction and working with buyers and sellers to facilitate the buying and selling of vehicles.

Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell vehicles through the auction platform to potential buyers, including dealerships, wholesalers, and individual customers.
  • Build and maintain relationships with existing and potential buyers, understanding their needs and providing appropriate vehicle recommendations.
  • Conduct effective sales presentations, showcasing the features, condition, and value of vehicles up for auction, as well as the benefits of working with the company.
  • Communicate auction processes, terms, and conditions to buyers, ensuring their understanding and compliance.
  • Assist buyers in evaluating vehicle options, providing accurate information and answering questions regarding vehicle history, condition reports, and title status.
  • Negotiate pricing and facilitate the bidding process, maximizing sales opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the auction team to ensure efficient and smooth sales transactions, including coordinating vehicle release, paperwork, and payment processes.
  • Actively prospect and identify new leads and potential buyers, utilizing various methods such as cold calling, networking, and referrals.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets, demonstrating a strong sales performance and contributing to the overall success of the auction lot.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, customer interactions, and inventory management.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and auctions to expand network and represent the auction lot.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing, operations, and customer service, to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Keep up to date on market trends and competitor activities to inform sales strategies
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Skills

  • Previous experience in the car auction industry or related role preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office and other auction sales-related software programs
  • Flexibility in schedule and the availability to travel for work related task, conference, extended education and networking. 
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English or other language is a plus.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills and a commitment to providing a positive experience for all clients
  • Proven communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with auctioneers, buyers, sellers, and other staff members.
  • Attention to detail and ability to accurately verify and record vehicle information.
  • Familiarity with auction procedures, terminology, and documentation.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
