Part Time Mechanic

Alliance Auto Auction in Waco is seeking the right individual to fill an open Tech position immediately. This person needs to excel in diagnostics, bumper-to-bumper mechanical repair, European experience would be a plus!! Auction knowledge preferable, but not required. Must have own tools, and possess a good attitude along with the desire to work independently and efficiently.

You’ll get your hands dirty learning the ins and outs of the automotive technician field. With guidance, you’ll develop new skills to add to your growing toolbox. Other responsibilities include:

• Serve as an entry-level auto tech performing light duty maintenance.
• Gain familiarity with auto maintenance concepts and practices.
• Perform auto maintenance tech duties, including oil and filter change, fuel filter change, transmission flush and vehicle inspection.
• Perform battery testing, maintenance and replacement.
• Perform various inspections.
• Utilize approved vendors to obtain parts needed.

Required:

• 6+ months of related work experience.
• The ability to drive standard, automatic and electric vehicles.
• Safe drivers needed; valid driver’s license required.

Preferred:

• A high school diploma or GED.
