Who we are looking for:

ACV Auctions is seeking a self-starting individual for the role of Technology Program Manager – IT Project Portfolio to support Technology and Security project teams project lifecycle delivery and management. The successful candidate must have a proven background in IT project and program management of technology initiatives, including developing project or IT program plans, managing dependencies, issues, risks, and delivery expectations. Successful candidates are detail-oriented, well organized, possess excellent communication skills as well as a demonstrated ability to follow through and be confident working independently as well as part of a team, often amid ambiguity. The Technology Program Manager should be familiar with delivering projects using either waterfall or, acting as a scrum master, agile methodology. The Technology Program Manager – IT Project Portfolio will oversee the Technology Projects assigned to them with the goal of understanding and communicating project expectations to all relevant stakeholders.

 

What you will do:

  • Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
  • Oversee the end-to-end management of assigned projects within the Enterprise Technology portfolio with a strong focus on Security projects
  • For agile projects, provide scrum leadership ensuring agile ceremonies are conducted and documented as appropriate and provide reporting of sprint delivery
  • Partner with project and/or agile teams to analyze, plan and develop requirements and standards for scheduled projects or sprints
  • Create project plans, identify constraints, dependencies and risks, and provide mitigation plans
  • With agile teams, execute sprint planning and sprint reviews
  • Manage scope expectations and evaluate business priorities to efficiently balance resources and projects
  • Efficiently facilitate the capture and reporting of sprint or project progress and escalate any questions or challenges (leverage Jira to automate)
  • Maintain project documentation in relevant project management systems and tools
  • Organize and participate in stakeholder meetings and cross-team communication
  • With the project or agile team, determine and define clear deliverables, roles and responsibilities for resources required for specific projects or initiatives
  • Prepare necessary presentation materials for meetings (ideally leveraging automation provided by Jira)
  • Identify and communicate project critical paths
  • Ensure projects adhere to frameworks and all documentation is maintained appropriately
  • Assess project risks and issues and provide solutions where applicable
  • Ensure stakeholder views are managed towards the best solution
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

 

 

What you will need:

  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years’ experience in project/program management and agile delivery experience in a related technology field.
  • PMP and/or Scrum/Agile certification equivalent credential from an accredited curriculum preferred
  • Demonstrated comprehension of Project Management and Agile Management processes, strategies and methodologies
  • Experience working with scheduling and project management software systems and applications specifically use of Jira
  • Excellent time management, organizational and administrative skills and experience establishing guidelines in these areas for others
  • Experience coordinating multiple concurrent project schedules
  • Experience supporting cross-functional teams
  • Ability to visualize and understand complex processes and systems, identify points of failure and implement process improvement
  • Familiarity with ITIL standards and IT Security compliance standards and practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to present and discuss technical information in a way that establishes rapport and gains understanding
  • Must be comfortable developing effective relationships with cross functional stakeholders, senior leadership, and teams across the organization
  • Must be solutions oriented and persistent in the face of objections and obstacles while maintaining good relationships
  • Must have a positive attitude, be resourceful and express a willingness to roll up sleeves to get things done (no job too big, no job too small)
  • Highly self-directed and proactive, with the ability to manage time and resources along with a high-volume of work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Has a flexible approach to change, is able to work effectively in a variety of situations, constantly seeks improvements and is forward looking

 

Compensation: $83,000.00 - $115,000.00 annually. Please note that final compensation will be determined based upon the applicant's relevant experience, skillset, location, business needs, market demands, and other factors as permitted by law. #LI-MS
