International Tax Manager
What you will do:
Responsibilities include assist with all aspects of domestic and international taxes, including the Company’s tax compliance and income tax provision. The position requires close collaboration with the Company’s Finance department, other internal departments, third party tax consultants, auditors, and tax authorities. The International Tax Manager reports to the Director, Corporate Tax.
- Manage all aspects of international tax, including cash repatriation, income tax, VAT, withholding tax, TDS and other foreign taxes.
- Assist with tax planning, research, compliance, and tax memos for international operations, and monitor and analyze international tax law changes and relevance to the business, ensuring compliance.
- Manage and review international tax compliance, including income tax and VAT tax returns, in collaboration with third-party tax service providers and ensure compliance with international tax laws and regulations and timely filing of the international tax returns.
- Maintain detailed records and documentation to support tax returns and filing positions for international entities.
- Manage all aspects of the US international income tax compliance, including prepare/review key US federal international tax forms and foreign information returns related to controlled foreign corporations (Form 5471, Form 8992, FBARs, etc.). Managing accurate reporting of the international aspects of the federal income tax return.
- Prepare/review the foreign aspects of the quarterly and annual global income tax provision in accordance with ASC 740 and related 10-Q/10-K tax disclosure requirements, including analysis of tax accounts and related reconciliations, calculation of effective tax rate, RTPs, and preparation and analysis of the foreign income tax expense both (current and deferred tax), for foreign entities.
- Assist with the statutory income tax provisions for foreign entities.
- Prepare/review calculation of foreign quarterly income tax estimates.
- Resolve tax notices and provide support and coordination for foreign tax audits in collaboration with Director, Corporate Tax and third-party service providers.
- Participate in various international tax planning projects to develop and implement effective international tax strategies.
- Identify strategic tax planning and tax savings opportunities and provide recommendations to improve profitability.
- Manage the global transfer pricing process by collaborating with third-party service providers to develop and maintain transfer pricing models, gather data to complete the global transfer pricing compliance, and collaborating with accounting to calculate/review any intercompany cross charges.
- Organize and track relevant intercompany agreements, including working with accounting and legal.
- Advise on tax implications of international business expansion including mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures
- Support the foreign income tax integration of business acquisitions, dispositions and restructurings.
- Prepare and maintain documentation and evidence of internal controls for accounting for income taxes, in accordance with the Sarbanes-Oxley Act.
- Collaborate with external tax consultants and auditors.
- Assist in all aspects of the tax function as needed.
What you should have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Tax and/or Accounting
- CPA license is required
- Minimum 7 years of tax experience, including experience in US income tax, ASC 740, and international tax.
- Knowledge of Cross Border taxation with experience in US tax implications of foreign operations
- Broad technical knowledge of US international tax issues, laws and regulations, including familiarity and experience with core US federal international tax concepts and key US federal international tax forms and foreign information returns, as well as transfer pricing and cross border M&A.
- Experience with Canadian, Indian, French, or Irish tax, including familiarity with VAT and withholding tax, are preferred.
- Proven work experience as a Tax Manager or similar role
- Combination of tax experience at a public accounting firm and working for a publicly traded company is preferred
- Self-starter with the initiative to seek out opportunities and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational skills, and attention to detail are required
- Excellent research and verbal and written communication skills are essential
- Experience and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Compensation: $130,000 - $163,000 annually. Please note that final compensation will be determined based upon the applicant's relevant experience, skillset, location, business needs, market demands, and other factors as permitted by law.
