Who we are looking for:
The Corporate Counsel, Labor and Employment is essential in navigating a complex global employment landscape and will provide legal guidance on a broad range of employment matters. This role will support the Company’s business teams through its expertise in employment law, employee relations, and litigation strategy in order to provide proactive legal support to the various business and management teams. The Corporate Counsel, Labor and Employment partners closely with the People & Culture team to ensure employment practices align with legal requirements and promotes best practices.
The ideal candidate will provide expert legal advice on a wide range of global employment-related matters, ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations while fostering a positive workplace environment. This role requires a strong understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with People & Culture and management to develop policies, manage disputes, and ensure compliance with legal standards.

What you will need:
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
- JD from an accredited law school and admission into a state bar, with ability to obtain NY in-house counsel certification
- 5+ years’ handling employment and labor issues in a law firm and in-house environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in employment counseling with a strong understanding of federal, state, and local employment and labor laws, especially as applicable to non-exempt workforces.
- Prior experience in both a law firm and in-house setting strongly preferred.
- Strategic and creative thinker, oriented toward practical solutions and proactive process improvements.
- Ability to develop and maintain collaborative partnerships with teammates across the organization.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Robust interpersonal, public speaking, and writing skills, including the ability to effectively communicate complicated topics and issues concisely and tailored to audiences at various levels of the Company.
Compensation: $150,000.00 - $190,000.00 annually. Please note that final compensation will be determined based upon the applicant's relevant experience, skillset, location, business needs, market demands, and other factors as permitted by law.
